RoundTable

My ultimate goal for this group is to provide an outlet for discussing myth and how it operates in our lives. I envision an academic discussion group with each member contributing from his or her own background to establish a place to discuss the myth we write for ourselves each and every day. I do not want this to be a support group of any sorts or as a substitute for one’s own research or even taking a class/seminar on the subject. As the group’s coordinator, I cannot provide the path for any one’s quest, just a gateway and a few tools.
The 2009 theme is Masks of God: Creative Mythology. For each gathering, we will being by exploring a chapter from the fourth installment of Joseph Campbell’s Masks of God series, and using it as a starting point for further discussion. Reading each chapter is encouraged, but not required.
Meetings will be held at La Madeleine cafe starting at 2:30. I will be there wearing my black JCF t-shirt with the red circle logo on the front. (NOTE location change!)
